George JohnHOULDSWORTHGeorge of Mickleover, Derby passed away suddenly at the Royal Derby Hospital on Saturday 24th May 2025 aged 93 years.

Dearly loved Husband to Peggy and much loved Father to Julie and David. Father-in-Law to Richard and Claire. Devoted Grandad to Chloe, Robert, Carys, Alex, and Isla and good friend to many.

A service to celebrate George's life will be held on Wednesday 25th June 2025 at 1.30 pm at Markeaton Crematorium (main chapel)

Family flowers only please but a donation if desired can be made in George's memory to the R N L I online or via the donation box provided on the day.

George was a long standing member of the Friends of the Royal Engineers Museum in Kent. Until last year he regularly came down to the Museum for the AGM and Members Day. It was always a pleasure to see him and we did miss him this year. May he rest in peace.
